Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Avani Amin
Dr. Avani Amin founded Blackstone Eye Center with a desire to integrate vision, beauty and wellness to help achieve her patient’s overall needs. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health and her Masters in Allied Health Science at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Amin obtained her Doctorate at the New England College of Optometry where she earned highest clinical honors. She completed her training at various hospitals, private practices and community health center settings, including the number one eye hospital in the nation, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Amin has extensive knowledge in comprehensive eye exams in pediatrics ages 5 and up and can diagnose, co-manage and treat various ocular conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and anterior segment disease including dry eye. Dr. Amin is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She can fit various soft contact lenses including, but not limited to, toric, mono-vision, and presbyopic lenses. Dr. Amin works hard to ensure her patient’s are satisfied with their visual needs.
Dr. Amin has always had a passion in aesthetics and she wants to provide the greater Philadelphia area with top of the line eye care, as well as offering services to better enhance her patient’s skin, body and overall wellbeing through our medically integrated spa/wellness center. Her goal is to offer an experience to help her patients see and feel their best!
Before and during her training to become an Optometrist, she enjoyed having the opportunity to help the community by volunteering at various organizations including Lions Low Vision Center, Special Olympics, Lions Pediatric Vision Screening and Homeless Connect Vision Screening.
In her free time, Dr. Amin enjoys working out, traveling, and trying new cuisines with her husband.
Dr. Courtney Allen
Dr. Courtney Allen is a compassionate optometrist dedicated to providing exceptional eye care for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY College of Optometry, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive eye care.
Following graduation, Dr. Allen completed an advanced residency in Primary Care, Pediatrics, and Binocular Vision at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. This specialized training enhanced her expertise in pediatric eye care, vision therapy, and the diagnosis and management of complex binocular vision disorders, in addition to full-scope primary eye care.
In 2024, she was awarded Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a distinction that recognizes her commitment to clinical excellence, ongoing education, and contributions to the profession.
Dr. Allen currently resides in Exton with her husband and two dogs.
